Training camp is officially over, and wow, God has taught me so much!!

Throughout the 11 sessions, we learned about what the Gospel really is and how to connect it to others in a way that helps them hear themselves in the story of how Jesus saved them. We talked a lot about fully trusting what God is doing, pursuing truth, and spending time with Him so we can hear Him clearly. One thing that stuck with me was the prayer: “Jesus, we want to know You more. Be in me as I am in You.”

The next day we learned about understanding cultural differences. We are all made in God’s image, and He created each of us uniquely with different gifts and different ways that He uses us. It’s not wrong it’s just different. Learning this gave me such an eagerness to keep learning from others and see how God is moving around the world.

We talked about being the salt of the earth. Salt creates thirst, so the question is: do our lives make the people around us thirsty for Jesus?

One of the biggest things I learned was the difference between conviction and condemnation. Condemnation is from the enemy, but conviction is from the Holy Spirit. When we are convicted of sin, our identity is still rooted in redemption. God doesn’t just cover our sins but He removes them. There is nothing left to remind us of what we’ve done because of what Christ accomplished on the cross.

Another takeaway was a new definition of humility: humility isn’t thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less. We are literally made in God’s image, and that’s how He designed it. We have to stay connected to the Source.

We also looked at a really cool theme throughout Scripture: finished, filled, and visible. God’s presence filled the Garden, then the Tabernacle, then the Temple. And now, through Christ, we are the temple. We are the body of Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, and what God fills, He wants to make visible to the world. We aren’t meant to keep Him to ourselves, we are filled so we can pour out into others.

Philippians 1:9 became a prayer for me: “That your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.” My prayer is that Christ would be exalted through my life and that I would have the courage and eagerness to share the Gospel wherever He sends me.

It is time to go be Kingdom builders!!!

We still have about 45 more hours of travel before we reach our final destination: Jeffreys Bay, South Africa! First up, a layover in Dubai. Thank you for all the prayers and support so far. I can’t wait to share what God does over these next two months.
